Natural Hair Growth Oil

Another wonderful oil. This oil is used for hair growth. You will gain an inch in two weeks.
My oil collection. And oils I made myself. All natural and earth grown.

A New Journey

So a new phase in my journey of being a natural woman. I am now going towards major hair growth. My hair is now to my bra strap but by next year I want it to my butt. It is getting longer with the help of natural oils such as olive, grapeseed, indianhemps, peppermint, neem, curry oils, wild growth formula, castor oil and avocado. Sounds like a lot. It is. But I want to see how long it will get in one year. Hmm. Hair updates and the oils used will be in my next post. everything will be homemade and pure. Straight from mother nature. This is a new journey.

A Different Start. A Different Finish.

An early stage in life for me and having a different way of growing up was my early path of growing into an older naturalista adult. I was raised in a combined family household because my father married after gaining custody of me as a young child at the age of four years old. My dad and I are of African American descent. My father's wife, and stepmother was of Caribbean descent. She was from Kingston, Jamaica. Little did I know growing up would teach me a different way of life, morals, upbringing, feminine care and hair care to show me my heritage roots. My hair as a child was faithfully braided all the time. My stepmother did a deep conditioning every two weeks after my braided hair style wore down and then a repeat again. At five years old, my aunt on my dads side of my family of African American descent permed my hair behind my stepmothers back. She was furious, and I had no idea why. She spent months afterwards repairing it back to normal and getting it back to the best way to

Natural Hair Daily Routine

Detanglers and Combs for Natural and Biracial Hair Care.

Caring for Natural Hair Daily

In tonight's blogging I'm going to talk about basic essentials in taking care of natural black, biracial, and curly hair. 1) Be super careful when combing is essential. 2) Start combing from the ends and work your way to the roots. 3) Take a detangling brush or comb and run it through your hair after detangling to make sure all knots are gone. 4) Take each peace of your detangled hair and braid it in a plat until its ready to style. Tip: -It is best to detangle when wet. After a hair wash and conditioning. 1)Natural detangling methods. 2)Mashed raw African shea butter. 3)Conditioner. Retaining growth, moisture and length: 1)Keep your hair plated down into parts at night to help retain your hair length. 2)Protecting your hair from breakage requires having a satin scarf to wear to bed, satin sheets, and pillow cases. 3)Having the proper headwrap is essential as well. A bonnet, or a satin hair tie is best. 4)Protective Styles to protect you hair. Hair Damager
Today I'm struggling with knowing how to care for natural hair in all aspects. Being raised African American but of biracial decent is so hard to pull through. Being told the only reason I have long, healthy hair only because I am mixed takes a toll. It is unreal how people are when it comes to natural hair care. All the studying I am doing on hair proves otherwise. Even African people saying thier hair cannot grow as fast or long or it is too nappy. There is no such thing as bad hair. Some of the most beautiful women with natural are full blooded African. The singer Angie Stone for example she is full blood of African descent and her hair is so beautiful and rich. It doesn't matter about being mixed. It's your hair follicle levels and how you take care of it to enhance you hair health and growth. Every day I am fighting for this change in our minds and souls. All natural hair grows and it doesn't matter if your mixed , or dark skinned. We are all one. Beautiful black w

African Shea Butter.

In my experience this particular type of shea butter is the best product for moisture sealing and healing of dry brittle hair. This also works great for the skin, and helps to tame and treat skin eczema. It is all natural and organic, So you don't have to worry about preservatives. This is an African tradition for natural hair and skin care.

Understanding your hair type is crucial in knowing what products work best for your texture or curls or kinks. If you do not go by your hair texture and read the correct labels on containers before your purchase then the style you want will not come out right. Learn as much as you can about your hair texture.

Hair Growth Tips, Natural Hair History in America.

Natural Oils are a huge essential in not only moisture for the scalp; but for healthy hair growth. I am fully aware that a lot of my sisters use hair grease. For generations it has been an American way of moisturizing the scalp. This method goes all the way back to when our ancestors lost their cultural way of doing things and used bacon grease to  moisturize. It is not good. And this is where it originates. I hope to reach someone with this blog writing tonight. Recent studies have shown that hair grease actually clogs your scalp pores and is not healthy for the scalp. It causes itching and slower hair growth. This video is a must watch and very informative. Here below are a list of oils to use instead. Natural Hair Care Wash Day Routine

So does every naturalista have a wash day? It takes me literally four to five hours to achieve my deep conditioning styling start off for the week. What are your weekly professional workplace styles? How many days does it last? How often do you wash your hair during the week? Growing my natural hair and keeping it healthy is the ultimate goal for me. But my biggest routine  is my wash day routine. My routine intales applying olive oil to my scalp and hair to achieve a deep moisturizing treatment. I put on a shower cap on while the oil sits on my scalp and hair. Afterwards I do a cowash rinse. I don't buy expensive products. I use organic cabinet items that work just as good as the name brands. I use Apple cider vinegar. Then after doing the cowash I simply run luke warm water through my hair to rinse it as much as possible. Then I shampoo with with Shea moisture product line. My last wash step I prepare before washing and conditioning is applying my second deep conditioning tre
